SEATTLE — A football player at Evergreen High School, injured in a game Friday night, has died from his injuries.
According to KIRO 7, the student, Kenny Bui, suffered a traumatic brain injury during a tackle. The injury occurred at Highline Memorial Field in the fourth quarter.
The Superintendent for Highline Schools, Susan Enfield, posted the following statement via Twitter on Sunday.
“Our Highline community is hurting this weekend. An Evergreen football player was critically injured in Friday’s game,” she wrote. “Please keep our student, his family, classmates, and teachers in your thoughts.”
