Two Deputies Shot In Georgia, One Has Reportedly Died


GEORGIA — Two Peach County Sheriff’s Deputies were reportedly shot in an ambush near Byron, Georgia Sunday night.

Local media reports one of the wounded Deputies has died.

The Telegraph news agency in Macon reported: “J.T. Ricketson, special agent in charge of the GBI office in Perry, said the sheriff’s office contacted him about 6 p.m. requesting assistance with a shooting. He said deputies were responding to “a dispute between neighbors.”
