CALIFORNIA – Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of the late Elvis Presley, has died at the age of 54, her family says.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” Priscilla Presley said in a statement to the Associated Press. “She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known.”
Presley was taken to a hospital Thursday after EMT’s responded to a call for a possible cardiac arrest at her home in Calabasas.
Paramedics performed CPR on her before she was transported to the hospital.
TMZ reported that ‘someone administered epinephrine at the scene at least one time in order to help Presley regain a pulse.’
Her death comes just two days after she attended the Golden Globe Awards.
