PACIFIC GROVE, Calif. — A man is reportedly fighting for his life after being attacked by a shark while surfing Wednesday near Lovers Point Beach.
KSBW reported: According to the Pacific Grove city councilman Joe Amelia, a surfer was attacked around 11 a.m. while in the water near Lovers Point. Amelio said that the surfer suffered major injuries to the stomach and leg. He was taken to the hospital.
Witnesses reported spotting a shark in the water around the time of the incident. The beach has since been closed, the report said.
