NEW YORK — A Manhattan high school has been placed on lockdown, after guns were found in two backpacks.
The NYPD says that two males were at the Philip Randolph Campus High School with guns in their backpacks.
One has been taken into custody, and another is still on the loose.
In April, the Daily News reported that a staffer at the same school said a note found on a teacher’s desk said, “I am going to shoot the school up, you have been warned.”

Officials later said those threats were not credible.
The school was also threatened on March 1 and March 27. Juveniles were arrested in both of those cases, police said.
Around 1,300 students are enrolled in the school, which is located in a historic W. 135th St. building.
