Police were responding to a mass casualty incident during a graduation party in Southwest Philadelphia Sunday night.
The crime scene is at South 70th Street and Reed Bird Place — near the Paschall playground.
At least eight people were shot and one person has died, police said. The deceased is an adult.
According to local media, a gunman opened fire on the crowd near the park. Additional shots may also have been returned.
The victims ranged in age from 15-years to adult.

No arrests have been made and a motive for the shooting is unknown.
