Explosion at Energy Storage Facility In Calif. Injures Four

POWAY, California — Around 1:15 p.m., a blast was reported in the 13300 block of Gregg St. in Poway at Quantum Energy Storage.

At least four people were injured in the blast. They have been taken to the hospital. The severity of their injuries is undetermined.

The building is being evacuated. Officials are investigating.

Employees in other business suites under the same roof also were evacuated, but later were to be allowed back in.
