CALIFORNIA – Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department were responding to a shooting at a Church in Laguna Woods Sunday afternoon.
One person was killed, four others were critically wounded, and another person suffered minor injuries, officials said.
The scene is at the Geneva Presbyterian Church — in the 24000 block of El Toro Road in Laguna Woods.
Deputies say the suspect was disarmed and ‘hogtied’ by churchgoers until deputies arrived.
“We are working to get information out as quickly as possible,” the department tweeted. “We ask for patience as this event unfolds.”

The ATF was also responding to assist in the investigation. A motive for the shooting is unknown.
