TEXAS — A least four people were stabbed during a Church service at a private residence in Corpus Christi Wednesday night. The scene is in the 1200 block of Cambridge Drive.

The unidentified suspect, believed to be in his 30’s, is in police custody.

The Caller-Times reported: At the time, more than 10 people were inside the home and several were outside. Police went into the home and discovered a pastor who was holding a nondenominational church service was stabbed in the chest.

A band member was also stabbed in the neck. Both the band member and the pastor, whose children were in the home, were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, Clement said.

Two more people received punctures — one to the hand and another person in the arm — as they were trying to get the man away from the pastor, Clement said.

Witnesses told the news outlet the suspect had previously attended worship services at the home.

A motive for the attack was not known.
