Multiple Victims Recovered After at Least 3 Avalanches Strike Idaho Ski Resort

KELLOGG, Idaho — The Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office says four people have been recovered after multiple avalanches struck at the Silver Mountain ski resort in North Idaho Tuesday.

As of 11:07 a.m. local time, the Sheriff’s Office received a report of an avalanche, potentially up to three separate avalanches, that occurred on Silver Mountain.

Search efforts continue utilizing the Silver Mountain Ski Patrol, Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue and Shoshone County Volunteer Search and Rescue.

The conditions of those ‘recovered’ was not immediately known.
