He is scheduled to be arraigned today in Department 40 of the Foltz Criminal Justice Center.

Deputy District Attorney John McKinney of the Major Crimes Division is prosecuting the case.

Holder is accused of fatally shooting Ermias Asghedom, also known as Nipsey Hussle, on March 31 outside the rapper’s clothing store in South Los Angeles. Two other men also were wounded in the attack.

Holder and Hussle knew each other and police say the incident stemmed from a disagreement. The two spoke outside the rapper’s South LA clothing store before the shooting.

Holder fled the scene and was arrested Tuesday in Bellflower.

If convicted as charged, Holder faces a possible maximum sentence of life in state prison.

The case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department.
