Two freight trains have collided near Panhandle in Texas.
Emergency services are responding to the incident, eyewitnesses have reported that the wreckage appears to be on fire.
The cause of the crash is not currently known at this time.
Images from the scene of the incident showed train carriages on top of each other and a large fire burning.
Initial reports indicate that the collision was head-on.
The incident occurred at around 8:30 a.m. CT on Tuesday when the BNSF freight trains collided on the eastern edge of Pandhandle.
The BNSF Railway is one of the largest freight railroad networks in North America, second to the Union Pacific Railroad, and is one of seven North American Class I railroads.
