***UPDATE: Base spokesperson says Travis Air Force Base lock-down has been lifted. Report of shots fired was a false alarm.***
There was a large police response to an emergency situation at Travis Air Force Base in Solano County, California Wednesday.
“Travis Air Force Base is currently responding to a real world security incident,” the facility wrote in an alert. “More details will be released as they become available. The public is being asked to stay away from the base to ensure emergency responders can respond accordingly.”
According to a witness, officials told residents on base their was an ‘active shooter.’
