NEVADA — Police were responding to a active shooting incident in downtown Reno Tuesday night—there is a massive police response and helicopters were deployed. The FBI is also responding.
According to local media, a gunman was firing from an ‘elevated position’ at the Montage high-rise condominium complex, located at 255 N Sierra Street. A suspect was later taken into custody, police said.
Witnesses report hearing several gunshots, although, police have not confirmed any victims.
Officers have shut down several streets in the area.
Residents are urged to avoid the area.
