PUTNAM COUNTY, Tennessee — Sheriff Eddie Farris and the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office is currently seeking information on the whereabouts of Floyd Ray Cook driving a Black 2001 Ford F-150 pickup truck with Kentucky tag 091HCS.
The truck has an extended cab with a tool box in the bed and chrome running boards and a blue University of Kentucky Wildcat license plate on the front of the vehicle.
Cook is wanted for felony warrants out of Kentucky. The suspect is also wanted in connection with the shooting of an officer of the Algood Police Department in Putnam County, TN.
The officer was shot during a traffic stop Saturday afternoon. He is considered armed and dangerous.
Officer Ahscaria Valencia, has been released from the hospital in good condition. He has served with Algood PD for 1-1/2 years. His family has requested privacy.
The incident is being investigated by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office in cooperation with the Algood Police Department.
