Mayor London Breed announced that San Francisco has declared a local emergency to prepare for possible coronavirus activity.
Although there are zero confirmed cases of novel coronavirus in San Francisco residents, health officials say the global picture is changing rapidly and they need to step-up preparedness.
“Given the high volume of international travel from SF, there is a growing likelihood that we will see cases eventually.”
