CALIFORNIA — Five Fresno County Sheriff’s deputies fell into the upper Kings River during a search and rescue training exercise Tuesday—a rescue effort was ongoing.
The scene is near the Kirch Flat Campground.
The deputies were aboard a raft when it overturned, causing them to go into the river.
According to KFSN, three of the deputies were clinging to trees while two were still in the water. A helicopter was also assisting in the search.
