INDIANA — Up to five children were struck by a school bus in Indianapolis on Tuesday. The incident happened around 2:45 p.m at the intersection of Fox Road and Oaklandon Road.
The bus crashed at Amy Beverland Elementary School, striking a tree. The injured kids suffered “serious” injuries, police said. Multiple agencies were responding.
MSD Lawrence Township Communications Director Dana Altemeyer released a statement around 3 p.m.: “I can confirm that there was a very serious bus accident at Amy Beverland this afternoon. There are injuries that are reported but I have yet to get all of the details.”
