Police have confirmed a shooting incident took place on Tuesday at a funeral home in Northeast D.C.
A total of four people were shot and one person was killed.
The incident occurred at the Stewart Funeral Home located in the 4400 block of Benning Road NE, just before 12:30 p.m.

Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement and medical personnel discovered that “several people” had sustained gunshot wounds.
Police said at a news conference the crowd outside the funeral home appeared to be targeted.
Officials have not released any additional details about a possible suspect or motive.
