MOULTRIE, Ga. – Four people died in a city in south Georgia on Thursday. Among them were a fast food worker and two family members of the shooter who killed himself.

Colquitt County Coroner C. Verlyn Brock stated that the gunman murdered his mother and grandmother at two nearby homes before proceeding to a McDonald’s restaurant in downtown Moultrie, where he killed a woman working there.

Brock did not reveal the identities of the shooter or the victims, and it is unknown if the McDonald’s worker and the gunman were acquainted.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation released a statement acknowledging that multiple fatalities occurred at various crime scenes in the region, but did not provide additional details.

Moultrie is located in Colquitt County, which is approximately 200 miles south of Atlanta. The investigation is ongoing, and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
