San Francisco police announced on Thursday that a self-proclaimed technology consultant has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of Cash App founder Bob Lee last week.

Nima Momeni, age 38, was taken into custody in Emeryville, a San Francisco suburb, and has been booked on suspicion of murder, according to San Francisco Police Chief Bill Scott. Momeni was an acquaintance of Lee, Scott said.

Momeni is expected to be charged with murder at his arraignment on Friday, according to San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins.

Prosecutors plan to request that he be held without bail.

Scott did not reveal how Momeni was linked to Lee’s death, the two men’s relationship, or a possible motive for the killing.

On April 4, police discovered Lee with stab wounds in San Francisco’s Rincon Hill neighborhood, and he subsequently died at a hospital.

While investigators executed search warrants in both San Francisco and Emeryville, Scott did not indicate whether a weapon has been found.
