OLYMPIA, Wash. — Okanogan County officials say a store in Mazama claims a 16-year-old girl has walked into their establishment, saying she has survived a plane crash. The plane is presumed to be the overdue private plane that was headed to Lynden. More to follow.

Crews were using the last found cell signal – about 4 p.m. Saturday near Omak – to help narrow the search in Skagit, Whatcom, Chelan and Okanogan counties in northern Washington.

A plane was launched out of Spokane early Monday to check weather conditions. Once they’re given the all-clear that conditions are safe, search flights will resume.
