Federal authorities have not ruled out terrorism–or another inside threat–in the power outage at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport earlier this week.

FBI spokesman Kevin Rowson said in a statement, “The FBI is working alongside Georgia Power, Atlanta Fire Rescue and ATF following logical leads into the fire that caused the power outage at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Although it has not been ruled out, at this point there is no information to suggest there was any insider threat or nexus to terrorism.”

The outage forced the Federal Aviation Administration to suspend outgoing flights and implement a “ground stop” for incoming flights.

No one was injured in the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
