TEXAS – Before the massacre began at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, a law enforcement officer was prepared to take out the gunman but did not take the shot because he did not receive permission from a supervisor, a new report found.
“A reasonable officer would conclude in this case, based upon the totality of the circumstances, that use of deadly force was warranted,” the report from the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training Center found.
