The White house was placed on lockdown Tuesday after President Donald Trump departed for a campaign-style rally in Arizona.
Reporters and staff were ushered into the briefing room by the Secret Service as the North Lawn was evacuated.
According to the Secret Service, an unattended package was left near the North Fence—the package was later cleared.
Pedestrian traffic along Pennsylvania Avenue between 15th & 17th and the area of LaFayette Park was restricted due to law enforcement activity.
No injuries were reported.
