NEW YORK — A letter containing an ‘unidentified white powder’ was sent to Donald Trump Jr.’s apartment in Manhattan Monday, the NYPD says.
The letter was addressed to Vanessa Trump’s husband, Donald Trump Jr.
The envelope was opened by his wife; she and two others were decontaminated by firefighters at the scene and taken to the hospital to be checked out.
Police later said the substance was determined to be non-hazardous.
Trump Jr. later wrote on Twitter: “Thankful that Vanessa & my children are safe and unharmed after the incredibly scary situation that occurred this morning. Truly disgusting that certain individuals choose to express their opposing views with such disturbing behavior.”

Police and Secret Service are investigating—no arrests have been made.
Thinking of @MrsVanessaTrump & wishing I was by her side today. No one deserves to be frightened this way. There is no excuse.
