Brooklyn Cops Recover Shot Gun, More Than 2,300 Rounds of Ammunition

Police officers in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn recovered a shotgun and more than 2,300 rounds of ammunition after assisting New York City Marshalls. On Wednesday, July 26, City Marshalls were conducting an eviction warrant at a rented storage space located at 70 Marine Avenue. They notified the 68 Precinct after discovering a firearm and ammunition. A subsequent investigation by the precinct’s field intelligence officer resulted in the arrest of a 48-year-old man who had been renting the storage space.

Arrested: Male, 48 years old

Charges: Criminal Possession of a Weapon

Recovered:

(1) American Arms 16 Gauge Shotgun

(1) 12 Gauge Shotgun barrel

(4) Loaded 30 Round High capacity assault rifle magazines

(3) Loaded 9mm high capacity handgun magazines

(1) Rifle scope and (2) assault rifle silencers

Approximately 1,609 rounds of assault rifle, shotgun and handgun ammunition.

700 – .22 round ammunition, 40 – .308 rifle round ammunition, 1 high speed magazine loader and armor piercing ammo rounds.
