New York, New York—Index crimes continue to decline in New York City. When comparing 2015 through October 31st, versus the same period in 2014, crime is down 3.1 percent or 2,817 fewer crimes, the NYPD said.

NYPD is in foot pursuit of a perp at 54th Street and 2nd Avenue. Numerous units responding including ESU, K9 and others. Perp is armed with gun. Now advising that the perp has been taken into custody.
