LOS ANGELES — A 19-year-old man was charged today with the shooting death of a man he dated and another man in Inglewood.

Christian Francisco Veliz faces two counts of murder with a special circumstance allegation of multiple murders and allegations of using a handgun and causing great bodily injury and death.

Both victims, Christian Martinez, 27, and Saul Reyes, 39, were found shot to death in a car parked on the 3600 block of West 107th Street in Inglewood on April 30, the prosecutor said. The criminal complaint alleges the murders occurred on or about April 29.

Veliz faces the death penalty or life in state prison without the possibility of parole if convicted as charged. A decision on whether to seek capital punishment in this case will be made at a later date.
