CALIFORNIA — A Gardena man was charged Tuesday with fatally stabbing his 61-year-old father as he slept.
Deputy District Attorney Linda Kwon said Robin Robert Frost Jr., 24, faces one count of murder. Frost Jr. pleaded not guilty.
On August 7, the defendant allegedly killed Robin Robert Frost Sr. who was asleep in his bed, the prosecutor said. Frost Sr. was found lying on his bed with several puncture wounds to his chest and face, according to police.
Frost Jr. faces a possible maximum sentence of 26 years to life in state prison if convicted as charged. Bail is set at $2 million.
The case remains under investigation by the Gardena Police Department.
