CALIFORNIA — On Thursday, August 22, 2019, at 12:38 p.m., a male juvenile arrived at the San Bruno Police Department to report that he had been held against his will, assaulted, and threatened by three suspects at a residence in San Bruno.

The subsequent investigation revealed that the victim was visiting a juvenile female acquaintance at her home, when members of the female’s family arrived. Three of the family members became irate and started assaulting the male juvenile victim. These family members ultimately restrained the victim using rope, held him against his will, assaulted him multiple times, and threatened to kill him. After a period of time, the suspects released the juvenile victim and he fled the scene. The victim was later treated at an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and released.

The victim reported that throughout this attack, the suspects yelled at him using multiple racial slurs, and he believed his race to be a motivating factor in the attack. The victim is African-American, and the suspects are of Hispanic descent. A search warrant was executed at the residence where this crime occurred, which resulted in the seizure of additional evidence.

All three suspects in this case, 46-year-old San Bruno resident Wilfredo Amaya, 46-year-old San Bruno resident Haydee Arguello, and 49-year-old San Francisco resident Luisandor Suarez were located and arrested by San Bruno Police Officers without incident.
