LOS ANGELES –A Lancaster woman was charged today with killing her 62-year-old mother at their home.
Destiny Maenique Hammack, 19, faces one count of murder.
According to the criminal complaint, Diane Hammack was killed on or about April 13 and 14. The victim was found dead on her bed of blunt force trauma, the prosecutor said. A motive was not revealed.
Destiny Hammack faces a possible maximum sentence of 25 years to life in state prison. Bail is scheduled at $2 million.
The case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Lancaster Station.
