LOS ANGELES — A former teacher at a private Panorama City high school has admitted to possessing hundreds of images of child pornography.
Nain Edred Doporto, 47, was required to register as a sex offender for life after pleading no contest yesterday to one felony count of possession of child or youth pornography in a negotiated plea agreement.
He also was placed on five years of formal probation by Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge David Fields and is required to complete 30 days of community labor and attend one year of sex offender treatment.
On or about July 11, 2019, more than 600 downloaded digital images of child or youth pornography were discovered in the defendant’s possession. At the time he was a teacher at St. Genevieve High School, but the images didn’t involve students at the school, the prosecutor said.
