BUFFALO, N.Y. – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at Peace Bridge arrested a man wanted for attempted murder in Dewitt, N.Y.

CBP officers at the Peace Bridge encountered a vehicle earlier today driven by Todd Corron, age 26, a U.S. citizen. The initial primary inspection revealed that the subject was a possible missing person wanted for questioning in connection to a stabbing incident in Dewitt.

CBP officers escorted Corron for further inspection at Peace Bridge. During secondary inspection, and after contacting the Dewitt Police Department, CBP received a warrant of arrest for Corron. The warrant carried the charge of attempted murder.

After CBP processing was complete, Corron was turned over to the Dewitt Police Department to face charges.

“We continue to work closely all law enforcement agencies to ensure wanted criminals face justice. These partnerships are essential to protecting our borders and our communities,” said Acting Port Director Cary Frieling. “Our officers did an excellent job ensuring a potentially volatile situation was handled professionally and with care.”
