Jincai Chen, 39, was taken at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, Thailand, and ushered through the terminal by her kidnappers, without fellow travelers noticing that anything was the matter. CCTV from the airport shows Mrs Chen being led through security checks and customs by two of the gang.
The gang then called her husband and demanded 10million baht (some £232,000) which he paid, but when they then asked for another 5million (£116,000), he refused and called police. The following evening, Mrs Chen was dumped by the roadside in Bangkok, after 13 days in captivity.
