University of Texas, El Paso quarterback Kai Locksley has been suspended from the team after he was arrested on multiple charges.

Locksley was arrested Saturday and charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of marijuana (under two ounces), making a terroristic threat and unlawful carrying of a weapon.

The 22-year-old senior quarterback has since been released on bond.

UTEP coach Dana Dimel said, “We are aware of the charges against Kai Locksley. While the severity of these charges is concerning, it would not be appropriate to determine a course of action until we have all the facts. In the meantime, he has been suspended from the UTEP football team.”

The nature of the threat was unclear.
