Cops In Brooklyn Recover Loaded Illegal Handgun, Marijuana & $700; Woman Arrested

NEW YORK — (NYPD News) — Cops in East New York, Brooklyn arrested a woman and recovered a loaded handgun, more than 10 pounds of marijuana and $700K last Friday.

Officers from the 75th Precinct responded to a 911 call of a home security alarm going off on Blake Avenue. Upon arrival, the officers observed the front door and kitchen window opened and announced their presence before they entered the home.

Once inside the house, the officers observe a large quantity of marijuana, large sum of cash, loaded firearm, replica police parking placards and drug paraphernalia. A 31-year-old female was taken into custody.

Pursuant to the investigation, the officers secured the home, obtained and conducted a search warrant for the premise and recovered 10.4 pounds of Marijuana, 700,000 US currency, .38 caliber firearm, two replica parking placards (New York City Sheriff’s Office and Uniformed Firefighter’s Association, drug paraphernalia.

A 31-year-old woman from Brooklyn was charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana, Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Forged Instrument, Drug Paraphernalia and a Violation of Local Law.
