HOUSTON, Texas – Investigators with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office are hoping to have other victims of a man currently in jail for sexual assault come forward and meet with investigators and counselors.
45-year-old Stanley Cosey is currently charged with 3 counts of sexual assault.
The last victim, a 25-year-old woman, met Cosey on an undisclosed social media dating site, police said. The two agreed to meet in northwest Harris County. While on the date, police say Cosey became “very aggressive towards the complainant, and she tried to leave the room several times.”
Cosey overpowered the victim and began to sexually assault the victim. The woman attempted to flee again, at one point ran out on to the balcony of the room to try to escape. He then grabbed her, and while she was struggling to break free, he attempted to throw her off the balcony.
Cosey then dragged her back into the room, and choked her until she passed out.
Investigators and trauma counselors want to help any victims that are afraid to come forward.
