NASHVILLE, TENN. — Narcotics detectives today arrested Lawrence Thompson, 51, and his girlfriend, Dean Moser, 53, for bringing Thompson’s young grandchildren along on a heroin deal.

Thompson is alleged to have taken his one-year-old grandson with him into the restroom of a fast food restaurant on Brick Church Pike as he made a heroin purchase.

Moser and the two other children, ages four and six, waited in the car. During a vehicle stop for running a traffic violation, Thompson handed detectives a folded piece of paper containing a small amount of heroin along with a spoon that was to have been used to cook it.

Thompson and Moser are charged with three counts of child endangerment, heroin possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
