Video from Dayton Police Department cruisers released Friday shows a suspect being hit while trying to run from officers. Tuesday, police spotted a car that fled from officers the previous day and tried to stop the vehicle. The car sped away again and the chase was all captured on police dash cameras. The driver jumped from the car and ran along Gettysburg Avenue. Police said the suspect, Brandom Lamar Mann, ran in front of the police cruiser, at which point he was hit. Mann was taken to the hospital after the collision, before being booked into Montgomery County Jail on failure to comply, resisting arrest and obstruction of official business charges.

Dayton Police crews reportedly spotted the car involved in “illegal weapons dealing” and unsuccessfully attempted to stop the car one day before the chase. They then spotted the same car the next day and decided to pursue it. In the courtroom Friday afternoon, Brandon Mann faced an initial appearance for a count of failure to comply with a police order. No plea was entered and the judge sent bond at $30,000. He will be in court again May 4.
