PORT ANGELES, Wash. – On New Years Eve, family members who were concerned about their relatives, who had not been heard from since Christmas Day, went to check on them on Bear Meadow Road, located up Deer Park Road, and unfortunately found the unthinkable. Deputies responded to find two deceased persons outside the residence, covered with a tarp and other materials from elsewhere in the yard.

The deputies and detectives froze and guarded the scene until Washington State Patrol Crime Scene Investigators could respond to systematically process the surrounding area. On January 1, 2019, the scene process was initiated. The two bodies located were ultimately identified as Darrell Iverson, 57 and his son, Jordan, who was 27. As the search of the area continued, a third body was located, this one a female, inside a locked outbuilding on the property. (The victim’s name was not revealed.) All three had been shot.

The Clallam County Sheriff’s Office says it does not believe the general public is in immediate danger, but they have few details in this investigation at this time. They say it does appear the victims were killed by someone they knew.

Deputies have information that indicate the last time people talked with the Iversons was on December 26, 2018.
