Drones Flying Near Newark Liberty Airport Halt Flights

Flights at Newark Liberty International Airport were temporarily delayed Tuesday after two drones were reported flying nearby, the FAA says.

According to CBS New York, ‘the drones were were seen flying at 3,500 feet over Teterboro Airport, less than 20 miles from Newark Airport.’

Flights later resumed and an investigation is underway into where they came from.

Drones are prohibited within five miles of US airports due to safety concerns.
