TEXAS – Three Houston police officers were shot in the Third Ward area of the city Thursday afternoon and the suspected gunman is at large.
Police say the officers responded to the 2100 block of McGowen Street for a disturbance call and a chase ensued.
Surveillance video obtained by ABC13 shows the suspect crash before opening fire on the officers. The news outlet reports that police believe the weapon used by the suspect may have had an auto-switch.
The suspect, identified as Roland Caballero, fled the scene after carjacking a white Mercedes.
The wounded officers were hospitalized in stable condition, HPD said.
