Just as a hearing was about to commence over a $250 million lawsuit filed by New York Attorney General Letitia James against Donald Trump in lower Manhattan, a bomb threat was phoned in.

The courthouse at 60 Centre Street was temporarily closed and searched, and the threat was later found to be baseless.

In September, James filed a lawsuit against Trump, his company, and three of his children, alleging that they inflated the value of his real estate company’s assets.

Similar threats were also made against other court building and the NYPD headquarters — all threats are not believed to be credible.

Despite an increased presence of uniformed officers throughout the city, the New York Police Department stated that there were no credible threats to New York at present, but it remained prepared to respond to protests.
