Plane Goes Missing Off Coast of Ocean City, Maryland

OCEAN CITY, ND. — The Maryland State Police, along with federal agencies, were searching for a missing plane near Ocean City Thursday.

An oil slick was located in ocean about 1.5 miles from OC Airport and debris associated with an aircraft has been recovered from ocean.

The search began late this afternoon when the FAA reported overdue plane.

The aircraft is believed to be a single-engine, 4-seater plane that left Martin State Airport last for Ocean City.

The number of passengers on-board has not been verified.

Search and rescue efforts are continuing at the scene.
