PHILADELPHIA — Multiple people were wounded after a gunman opened fire in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia Wednesday.
The gunfire broke out shortly after 2:30 p.m. in front of a Dollar General store at the Freedom Square Shopping Center.
According to local media, as at least five people were shot and taken to hospitals–one was struck in the head. Police say the victims were targeted from a moving vehicle.

“I can assure you it’s about something stupid–just like most things are,” Philadelphia Police Commissioner Richard Ross told WCAU. “But right now we’ve got a lot of unanswered questions.”
The suspect(s) remained at large.
