GEORGIA — Students and staff at Emory University in Atlanta were told to the shelter-in-place Wednesday due to what officials called a ‘police emergency.’ The all-clear was later given.
“There is a police emergency occurring on Emory main campus. Shelter in place,” the University’s police department posted on social media.

According to WSBT-TV, the incident ‘has to do with patient who walked away from the Atlanta VA Hospital’ nearby.
Emory University is a private research university in metropolitan Atlanta, located in the Druid Hills section of DeKalb County.
