Authorities were warning people in the Isla Vista area near UC Santa Barbara late Friday to stay inside as they investigate drive-by shootings that left four people dead and several injured.
The dead include one suspect, KEYT-TV reported.
Two people have been arrested in connection with the shootings, which broke out about 9:30 p.m., sheriff’s spokeswoman Kelly Hoover told KEYT.
Several local news outlets reported that the shootings occurred near two local convenience stores and that there were several crime scenes.
