Detectives need your help identifying the suspect who attacked a developmentally disabled 61-year-old man last week at a bus stop in the Rainier Beach neighborhood.

The victim was sitting at a bus stop at Rainier Avenue South and South Fisher Place around 12:40 p.m. on March 24th, when the suspect approached him and struck him with a baseball bat. The suspect then fled the area in a gold Ford Contour.

The victim, who sustained severe head injuries in the assault, was taken to Harborview Medical Center by Seattle Fire Department medics. He is currently being treated for a traumatic brain injury.

Detectives scoured the area for video surveillance, and with the help of a nearby business, recovered an image of a possible suspect vehicle. Detectives believe it to be a 1998-2000 Ford Contour with a sunroof and a spoiler.
