A dog that went missing for four days has finally returned home – after dragging himself to safety when his leg was severed by a train.

Two-year-old chorkie Max – a Yorkshire terrier and chihuahua cross – disappeared during the morning of Fridays the 21st of August, whilst his owners were on holiday.

The lamb family had left their beloved pet with a friend whilst they went on a holiday in North Yorkshire, England.

The devastated owners cut their holiday short after the news that Max had gone missing reached them

Mother-of-four Becky Lamb, 29, launched a desperate appeal to find the family pet, putting posters upĀ around Bramley, in Leeds, West Yorkshire where he hadĀ disappeared.

Vets told Max’s owners, from New Farnley, Leeds, that his leg had been severed in a clean cut and probably the result of him being struck by a train.
